CBL is involved in various international activities with various countries, including international collaboration through the Japan International Cooperation Agency, acceptance of overseas delegations and trainees, and information exchange via overseas building and housing-related organizations.
　CBL joins WFTAO (World Federation of Technical Assessment Organization) and promotes mutual recognition on housing components with test and evaluation organizations of Canada, USA etc. CBL has already concluded an agreement regarding joint collaboration with the CCMC (Canada), and is discussing the possibility of mutual recognition in order to accept test and evaluation results for particular housing components.
　TBTL contributes to international collaboration by affiliation to CIB (International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction) and to ISO standardization by dispatching members to relevant technical committees.
